Google Business Profile
Connect Google Business Profile to include listing visibility and customer action data in reports.
Google Business Profile provides data on how customers are finding and interacting with the client's Google listing: impressions, direction requests, website clicks, and phone calls.
Plan required: Professional and above.
Before you connect
- The Google account you use must have Manager or Owner access on the Business Profile location.
- If the client has multiple locations, you will select the specific location to report on after connecting.
- The Google Business Profile API must be enabled on the Google Cloud project associated with the connection. In most cases this is handled automatically, but if you see an API error, check that the API is enabled.
How to connect
- Open the client in ReportsMate and go to the Platforms tab.
- Click Connect next to Google Business Profile.
- You will be redirected to Google to sign in and grant ReportsMate read access.
- After authorising, you will be returned to ReportsMate.
- A list of Business Profile locations accessible to the Google account will appear. Select the correct location for this client.
- Click Save.

| Phone calls | Times users clicked the phone number (call button) |
All metrics include a percentage change versus the previous equivalent period.
Troubleshooting
No Business Profile locations appear after connecting The Google account does not have Manager or Owner access on any Business Profile locations. Ask the client to grant access via the Google Business Profile manager.
Direction requests are zero If the business does not have a physical address listed (e.g. online-only businesses), direction requests will be zero. This is expected — website clicks and phone calls are more relevant KPIs for online businesses.
All metrics dropped significantly A surge of negative reviews or a verification issue with the listing can suppress visibility. Check the Business Profile for any alerts or pending verification requirements.
